- Bio Sharareh Drury is a multimedia journalist and web/graphic designer living in Los Angeles. In the Spring of 2011, she will graduate from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism with a B.A. in Broadcast and Digital journalism, with an emphasis on American popular culture and the music industry. COLLEGE EXPERIENCE While attending USC, Sharareh was active in several media platforms, including producing, reporting, and anchoring for the campus television news station, Annenberg TV News (ATVN), writing and editing stories for the acclaimed Daily Trojan student newspaper, and contributing feature stories to HerCampus’ USC section. Through the Annenberg school, Sharareh also studied print, investigative and online journalism, spent a semester reporting on news in Santa Monica, and co-produced a documentary on Art-Deco enthusiasts. She also took on a management position with ATVN her senior year by serving as the the Multimedia Director. INTERNSHIPS Sharareh has held prime internships with broadcast, print, and online organizations, including E! Online, NBC affiliate KNBC-Channel 4 News, the California HealthCare Foundation’s Center for Health Reporting, the Los Angeles Business Journal, and the Memphis Commercial Appeal. - ProducingAs a producer for Annenberg TV News, Sharareh Drury led a diverse news team as she crafted a live nightly newscasts that included local coverage as well as national and international stories that were made relevant to the community. Sharareh oversaw various elements of the show while under deadline pressure, including the following: ordering videos through CNN NewsSource, creation and editing of graphics and video, corresponding with reporters and multimedia journalists while they were in-house and out in the field, and organizing the rundown of the show.
